Suggestions Please

Let's hear them. I need a stroller, a car seat (or 2), hhhhmmmmm thanks to all the donations for the garage sale and to us in general that about does it for big items.

I really want an armsreach co-sleeper-the big one. Is that silly if we have a portable crib (thanks Ahdra) that can sit next to our bed?

Really, not sure what will be register for because I think we have almost everything. I guess that leaves diapers. Can I register for wine for mommy then???

We LOVE our Britax Boulevard carseat and plan on getting the same one for Eli. It is a convertible carseat (works from infancy through toddlerhood). A bit more pricey, but almost all of the reviews were outstanding and we've had no problems at all.

As for strollers, I can e-mail you the spreadsheet I made! Yep, I'm that much of a geek. I really love my UppaBaby Vista stroller. The seat pops out so the baby can face either you or out ahead. It's somewhat heavy, but had TONS of storage below, folds with the seat attached (Bugaboo does not) and is a bit taller than most strollers, so I could often stroll Lila up to a table to eat. But mainly I bought it because I really wanted a stroller where Lila could face me and we could be connected and keep her from being overstimulated especially the first few times we went on outings.

I could go on...

Call/email me about car seats- I am a child passenger safety tech and could go on and on about car seats but I also would be happy to meet you at Babies R Us and talk you through your options if you want. We have Britax Boulevards for my kiddos.

Check the arm's reach co sleeper- I don't know if they have changed it but once they can sit you can't use it so it may not be worth the money depending on how old your kiddo is once they come home

I also have tons of strollers because well the stroller you need depends on the activity you are doing-

I bought my arms' reach secondhand. We used after Astrid could stay in sitting position but not after she learned to sit herself up.

There should be ample time between referral and travel to decide if the cosleeper will work for you--we loved ours.

We have the Britax roundabout--I love it, but it is really big--takes up major back seat real estate. I'd pick any Britax out there, especially one with a smaller footprint ;)

I just found your blog through Ali's.
Britax Marathon all the way. It is bigger than the Roundabout, not as big as the B)

Though if you have a smaller car it won't fit backwards (not sure how little your little one will be)

I LOVE the arms reach co sleeper. It is AWESOME.

Strollers:, I like to have one "mall" stroller like Maclaren, and one hard core stroller Bob for streets, sidewalks, cobble stones, trails, etc. 90% of the time I opt for my BOB, because it has shocks like a mountain bike, it is such a smooth ride for the kiddos, and reclines really far for babies.

Good luck!
